I hear you have the first edition of the Book of Mormon. Can I come see it?

Yes, we hold two copies of the first edition of The Book of Mormon which you are welcome to see. Before you visit, you should register as a researcher. If others are coming with you, everyone over the age of 18 will need to register as well.

We also recommend placing a request for the The Book of Mormon before you arrive. Here's what you'll need to do:

  1. Start from the catalog record for the book, then click the green "Request" button.
  2. On the next page, click the blue "Request" button for copy 1 (c. 1).
  3. After you've logged in, you will get the request form.
  4. Scroll to "Option 2: Request for In-Person Use" and enter the date you plan to visit and submit your request.
    • The earliest day you'll be able to select is four days out, but it's okay if you're planning on visiting sooner than that. Place your request and we'll be able to get the book for you when you arrive.
